Rose is renowned for its internal cleansing properties.


Rose has many medicinal uses. The petals have a cooling effect and can be used in tea to bring down fevers and clear toxins and heat from the body. Rose also enhances immunity, helping to restrain the development of infections through their cleansing action. An infusion of rose petals can relieve cold and flu symptoms, sore throat, runny nose and blocked bronchial tubes. Roses also help fight infection in the digestive tract and help re-establish the normal bacterial population of the intestines.



Directions:

Remember to use cooler than boiling water or your tea will taste bitter. If using a kettle, water is ideal when it begins to emit a 'rumble' sound. If using a microwave, stop heating when tiny bubbles form. These are good signs that your water is at the right temperature. Infuse 6-8 flowers in a mug of hot water for a few minutes.
