Quantity: 50g
A fresh and vibrant oolong from Guangdong Province. A complex aroma bursting with peach, and orange blossom honey with a finish that is thirst quenching and dry. 50g
Also known as Honey Orchid or Phoenix Oolong. It is grown in Feng Huang Shan (Phoenix Mountain) in Chao-An county of Southern China. This is one of China's most famous teas and was first cultivated about 1000 years ago as an Imperial tribute tea for China's royalty. The process to make this tea is very labour intensive with many processes taking many hours. Each leaf is plucked, withered, cooled, shaken, fired, shaped and dried by hand. The result are long, curled, dark amber leaves which brew the most delicious tea. A fruity aroma, full of peaches, longan and orchid with a smooth and mellow flavour and a sweet aftertaste which lingers on the tongue.
the best way to brew this tea is Gong fu style using a tea ceremony set. To brew conventionally, place 1 teaspoon in a mug or pot of freshly boiled water. Oolong teas taste best when prepared with boiling hot water (98C). Use filtered water that does not contain too many hard minerals. Leave to infuse for a few minutes. Get the most out of our tea by infusing up to 5 times.
Pure High Grade Peach Flower Oolong Tea Leaves.
This is a medium Oolong tea which means that it has less antioxidants than a green tea but more than a red tea. It is a great all round drink with enough polyphenols to help the immune system and anti-ageing but also enough tannins and essential oils to help the digestion and cardiovascular health.
