Dynastic Red was once the popular English Breakfast Tea. It is also known as Keemun tea and is one of the most revered Chinese Reds with a distinctive taste. It contains a substance called myrcenal. This is an essential oil that is unique only to the variety of tea plant from which Keemun tea is produced and gives the brew a subtle rose and pine fragrance which works perfectly with the strong tea flavour.
Infuse 1 tsp in 500ml of boiling water. Ideally use filtered water (not mineral!). If you would like to brew your tea like in China, then first rinse the leaves in hot water to wash any astringency for a smoother brew. You can infuse the same leaves up to 5 times.
