Anti-Smoking Program

Tobacco smoking presents a major health hazard but giving up can be a stressful process that often results in a return to smoking. Acupuncture helps to relieve withdrawal symptoms such as nervousness, depression, restlessness and food craving, whilst giving the patient a sense of confidence to help achieve their goal. The desire to smoke will be greatly diminished and many patients feel an unpleasant taste in the mouth if they smoke. The program includes 3 sessions of acupuncture (1 per week) and small auricular therapy balls which are fixed to specific points on the ear in order for the patient to stimulate everyday to maintain the treatment effects.
