According to Chinese medicine, hay fever is a condition of atopy (a form of hypersensitivity) and is very successfully treated using Chinese herbs. Patients are given herbal prescriptions (included in price) which are specific to their condition. Studies have shown that the use of some acupuncture points effectively reduce hay fever symptoms. Treatment is best started well in advance of the pollen season. Combining acupuncture with Chinese herbs can help rhinitis. The program consists of 3 sessions of acupuncture and small auricular therapy balls which are fixed to specific points on the ear for continual stimulation. Treatments are done over 3 consecutive weeks.
